Prog folk-rock music from Scotland
Music: Noel Chidwick
What is it like to sleep in space?
It took the Apollo astronauts 3 days to travel from the earth to the Moon, and for a lot of that time the astronauts were kept busy. But even astronauts need their sleep, and with this piece of music I tried to imagine what it would feel like to try to sleep in such a confined volume, in zero gravity, hurtling through space with just the sounds of your fellow astronauts and the various creaks and clanks of your craft to keep you company. How could you sleep? What do you dream?
Between: between the Earth and the Moon, between deep sleep and awakening, between heaven and the earth, between breathing in and breathing out.
